The Yağlıdere District Directorate of National Education and the Espiye Social Services Center organized a seminar titled “Underlying Factors of Violence Against Women” as part of the 2025 Year of the Family events.

Dr. Selda Külekci, an assistant professor from the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema at our faculty, participated as a speaker at the event held today in the conference hall of Yağlıdere Anatolian Imam Hatip High School.

In her presentation, Dr. Külekci addressed the concepts of gender, non-violent communication, and media literacy, emphasizing the causes of violence against women and the importance of awareness campaigns aimed at preventing such violence.

The event, attended by department heads, public officials, students, and citizens, concluded following a question-and-answer session.
